Account memory is information about you that Claude Code keeps across sessions through a built-in memory server. Claude Code now checks who is calling before that server's tools run. Only the session's main agent, the one you are talking to directly, may change it. Calls from any of these are refused:
a subagent (a helper agent the main agent starts for a sub-task)
a teammate
a fork of the conversation
a query running in the background
A small list of the server's tools is exempt from this check. When a call is refused, the caller is told to leave the save to the main agent, and the refusal is logged.

Helper agents can no longer quietly change what Claude Code remembers about you from one session to the next.
