Claude Code now checks who is calling before that server's tools run. Only the session's main agent, the one you are talking to directly, may change it. Calls from any of these are refused:\n\n- a subagent (a helper agent the main agent starts for a sub-task)\n\n- a teammate\n\n- a fork of the conversation\n\n- a query running in the background\n\nA small list of the server's tools is exempt from this check.
