When your machine sends its files to a cloud session (a Claude Code session running on Anthropic's servers), the first upload is now a single attempt. If it does not land, it is taken back. Several things were removed:
- The loop that retried the upload with pauses between tries
- The status line saying it was waiting and would go on as soon as the problem cleared
- An early wait while the local git index had unresolved merge conflicts
Retries now happen in a different step, which also cleans up when it runs out of tries. After each turn finishes, Claude Code tries any download of changes that was waiting.
