What
When Claude Code runs in a cloud session (running on a remote server rather than on your machine), it can send some tool calls (requests to read files, run commands and so on) to your own computer. There are now dedicated messages that tell the model when those calls fail:
host_offline: "The user's computer could not be reached right now; the call did not run. Try again shortly."
A list of possible reasons for a failure. One of them is that running tools for cloud sessions may be switched off on the computer.
A note that the path it passed was written in a form the session cannot check against its path rules, asking it to use the file's full path instead.
Why
The model now knows that the call did not run and what to try next, such as retrying or using a full path. It no longer has to guess why nothing happened.
