Claude Code keeps a stored result for host credentials, and that result is reused as long as certain values stay the same. It already depended on CLAUDE_CODE_HOST_CREDS_FILE and TMPDIR. It now also depends on APPDATA and LOCALAPPDATA, the Windows folders for per-user application data.
Why
On Windows, pointing those folders somewhere else now makes Claude Code look up host credentials again instead of reusing an old result.
