What
An @-mention is when you type @ and a file name to pull that file into your message. Claude Code reads the file with an internal cancel signal attached. Before, if that signal fired, the read raised an error. It now returns nothing instead. The cancel signal is also now always fired once the read finishes, whether or not it succeeded.
Why
A cancelled @-mention read now ends quietly instead of surfacing an error. Always firing the signal at the end also makes sure the read does not keep running in the background.
