What

  • Plugin marketplace autoupdate used to read a tengu_plugin_autoupdate_allow_credential_helper flag to decide whether to disable the git credential helper during background refresh. That flag and its conditional are gone, and disableCredentialHelper is no longer passed at all; the background refresh call now just runs with isBackground: true.
  • The git ls-remote helper used to refresh and validate marketplace clones dropped its disableCredentialHelper parameter entirely. It no longer appends -c credential.helper= to the git invocation, and now passes stdin: "ignore" to the git call.

Why

Git's normal credential helper can now run during marketplace background operations instead of being force-disabled, which matters for private or authenticated marketplace repositories that need credentials to fetch.
