What

Claude Code now spots shell commands that run a video-rendering tool:

  • remotion
  • hyperframes
  • manim
  • blender
  • ffmpeg

It also recognises these tools when a command refers to them through a shell variable, which is a named value set in the shell. When such a command succeeds and was not run in the background, Claude Code sends a usage record naming the tool. Usage records of this kind are often called telemetry.

Why

This is a new kind of usage data collected about the shell commands you run.
