What
An SDK MCP server is a tool server provided by a program built on the Claude Agent SDK, rather than one Claude Code starts itself. In a remote session, several clients can be connected at once. When one of them refuses a request meant for an SDK MCP server, Claude Code now holds off for a short grace period in case another client answers. If no other answer arrives in time, the request is cancelled with an error.
Why
In sessions with several clients, one client that cannot handle the server no longer makes the request fail while another client could have answered it.
