What
A plugin can reach Claude Code more than one way, for example as a folder copy delivered by sync and as an install from the official marketplace. When Claude Code combines these, it now skips the synced copy if both hold:
the synced copy's record says it may give way
the official marketplace version of the plugin, with its hooks (scripts a plugin runs at set points), is installed
Claude Code reports that the synced copy was not loaded and names the source that is installed.
Why
When the same plugin arrives both ways, the official marketplace version now wins, so you get one copy rather than two.
