What
When you paste a large amount of text into the prompt, Claude Code can show it as a short placeholder instead of the full text. If you then edit the prompt, Claude Code works out which pasted text still belongs where. It can now keep several separate parts of a single paste instead of only one. Each extra part becomes its own pasted entry.
