What

Claude Code now recognises a new message source, voice-call, meant for background notes of what was said aloud on a voice call alongside the session. Queued messages from this source are handled differently, and such messages add no text of their own as a typed message. For tools built on Claude Code, this source is honoured only when it comes from the host program on local input.

Why

This is groundwork for using Claude Code alongside a voice call.
