What
Claude is now given instructions about files that come from an artifact's database, data that other collaborators can write to. Claude is told that:
- Trust: the content is written by collaborators and is untrusted.
- Instructions: it must not follow instructions found inside it.
- Settings: it must never edit your permission settings,
CLAUDE.md or config because artifact content asked it to.
Why
This guards against prompt injection, where text in shared data tries to trick Claude into doing something you did not ask for.
