What
A skill is a saved set of instructions that Claude can load and follow. Some skills are of the "prompt" type, and Claude Code can allow these to run without asking you first.
That automatic approval now has one more condition. The earlier conditions still have to hold, and a further check also has to pass. If it does not pass, the skill is no longer allowed automatically.
Why
In some cases you may now be asked for permission before a prompt-type skill runs, where before it went ahead on its own.
