Unclear It is not clear which environment variable is involved or which sessions show this hint.
What
When a session ends, Claude Code can print the command to resume it later. For some sessions, that session only resumes when a particular environment variable is set. An environment variable is a named setting passed to a program when it starts.
- Outside Windows: the variable setting is placed at the front of the printed resume command.
- On Windows: Claude Code instead prints a line saying the session resumes only with the environment variable.
Before, the hint never included it.
Why
Copying the printed command now gives you what you need to resume such a session. On Windows, set the named variable yourself before running the command.
