What
Claude Code can run tools on another machine. When such a call arrives, Claude Code now records which of two forms the request came in: call_envelope or shared_request. A shared request that is invalid or not supported is refused straight away with invalid_request, before the check on request size.
Why
This lays groundwork for running tools on runners you host yourself. Badly formed shared requests now fail clearly instead of getting further along.
