What

Claude Code keeps a list of reasons it can give when a feature is unavailable. Before, the list had three: the feature was switched off, the feature was turned off by a setting, or it was not ready yet. A fourth reason now exists, disabled_device_policy, meaning a policy set on your device turned the feature off.

Why

This means a rule set on your device, for example by the organisation that manages your computer, can now be the stated reason a feature is unavailable.
