What
When notifications pile up, Claude Code tells Claude to collect them before doing other work. That instruction now has two forms:
- When Claude works through a REPL script, it is told to run a script that calls the notifications tool and repeat until 0 notifications remain queued.
- Otherwise it is still told to call the tool now and keep calling it until it reports 0 remaining.
Why
In REPL mode Claude works through scripts, so it now gets an instruction it can actually follow for clearing notifications.
