MCP servers can offer resources that belong to skills. Claude Code refuses to read one that is not listed, and it records why. The reasons are:

  • uri_too_long
  • outside_loaded_skills
  • other_spelling
  • unparseable_uri
  • unlisted

A resource outside the skills currently loaded now has its own message.

Why

Only the log messages change. Which reads are allowed stays the same.
