MCP servers are outside programs that give Claude extra tools. Claude Code can now show a warning notification for 20 seconds when MCP servers are disabled in a session running in REPL mode. The warning is behind an internal check.
Why
If your MCP tools seem to be missing in a REPL-mode session, this warning tells you they are switched off there rather than broken.
