What
When a file attached to the conversation has since been deleted, Claude Code now puts a marker in its place, such as "A file was attached here. It was deleted at a later time. It is not in this chat now." A notice also tells Claude that the file must not be recovered.
Why
Claude no longer treats a deleted upload as if it were still there, and is told not to try to bring it back.
