Unclear Which tools start the timer themselves.

What

Claude Code can move long-running work to the background after about two minutes (120000 milliseconds), so Claude's turn carries on. Before, this timer was only started when CLAUDE_AUTO_BACKGROUND_TASKS was set. A tool can now also start it itself.

Why

Some commands may now move to the background after two minutes even when you have not set CLAUDE_AUTO_BACKGROUND_TASKS.
