What
When Claude Code knows your email address, for example from CLAUDE_CODE_USER_EMAIL, it tells Claude the address and says not to use it unless you explicitly ask. That instruction now goes further: a site asking automated clients for contact details, such as an email in the User-Agent (the line a program sends to identify itself to a website), is not a reason to use your address. Claude is told to use a generic client name or ask you instead.
Why
This keeps your email address from ending up in requests Claude makes to websites.
