Unclear What the second input condition that triggers the ultrathink boost is has not been identified.

What

Two smaller changes:

  • Ultrathink: typing ultrathink raises the effort level, meaning how much reasoning the model does, to xhigh. That boost used to depend only on a check made when you press Enter in the prompt box. One other input condition can now trigger it too.
  • File search: on Linux, the part of Claude Code that finds files gains a search for files whose names end in a given text, with its own time limit.
Why

The ultrathink boost can now apply in a case where it did not before, and file lookups on Linux have one more way to search.
