Claude Code v2.1.317 ·

Tmux color limiting still applies after an internal cleanup

Inside tmux, Claude Code still limits its colors unless CLAUDE_CODE_TMUX_TRUECOLOR is set; the step that does it was tidied internally

What

Tmux is a terminal tool that lets you run several terminal sessions in one window. When Claude Code runs inside tmux and CLAUDE_CODE_TMUX_TRUECOLOR is not set, it caps the range of colors it uses. That still happens exactly as before. The step that applies the cap no longer reports back a yes-or-no result after doing so.

Why

This looks like an internal cleanup with no visible effect. If you want full color inside tmux, CLAUDE_CODE_TMUX_TRUECOLOR is still the setting that skips the cap.
