In remote and worker sessions (Claude Code running on another machine or as a background worker), Claude Code sends status information about the session. It used to report only the permission mode. When the plan document in use changes, it now also reports which plan document is active. Changing mode clears that value.
This follows the same internal check that controls reporting the permission mode.
Why
Whatever is watching a remote or worker session can see which plan is currently active.
