Unclear Whether MCP servers are now shown as needing sign-in more or less often is not shown.

What

MCP servers are add-ons that give Claude extra tools, and some need you to sign in. The check for whether a server's older sign-in was refused, for example one from a plugin, now needs a further remote check to pass and has extra conditions. Claude Code also gained a new label, cc-plugin-privacy. The error saying a server's connection was closed while signing in again now uses shared wording.

Why

This could change when an MCP server is shown as needing you to sign in again.
