What
Claude Code runs a small proxy on your own machine. It used to listen only on 127.0.0.1, the usual address for your own computer. It now also listens on [::1], the IPv6 form of that address, on the same port.
If [::1] cannot be used:
When the port is busy, it tries another port.
When IPv6 is unavailable, it logs that and keeps listening on 127.0.0.1 only.
Why
Some programs turn the name localhost into ::1 rather than 127.0.0.1. Those programs could not reach the proxy before and now can.
