What

Claude Code now checks whether a connected desktop app says it draws a backdrop. If no connected desktop app does, the check reports "no attached desktop client says it draws backdrops". A place to hold backdrop state was also added to the display.

Why

This is a first step toward a backdrop feature for people using a desktop app with Claude Code. Nothing visible depends on it yet.
