What
A workflow is a multi-step task Claude Code runs, here on a remote machine. Selecting one in the footer, the strip at the bottom of the screen, can now send a stop request for it. The result is either a stop or a clear, or nothing if the remote worker has not reported that it is gone. If it fails, Claude Code shows "Couldn't stop the workflow:" followed by the reason.

You can stop a cloud workflow from the footer instead of leaving it running.
