Unclear Which feature this summary setting controls is not stated.
A set of settings that Anthropic's servers can send for a summary feature has been cut down. It now holds only a mode, which is either full or short. When the value is missing or not recognised, it falls back to full.
These parts are gone from it:
- the refresh interval
- the cap on how much input the summary may read
- the separate limits for different models writing the summary
The summary is also no longer switched on by a different remote switch for each model. A single switch is used instead.
Anthropic's servers can no longer tune how often this summary refreshes or how much it reads. They can only choose the full or short form.

This account: no value returned · anonymous baseline: no value returned · compiled default in v2.1.315: not a boolean we can read
These values were read against a different version of Claude Code, so treat them as the nearest reading available instead of one taken on this release.
