Unclear Whether background commands now keep running after Claude Code exits is not confirmed.
What
When Claude Code moves a shell command into the background so it keeps going while Claude does other things, it now marks that command to be left alone when Claude Code exits. Claude Code can also now look up, for its checks at exit, a background process's ID and whether it is still running.
Why
If you start long-running commands in the background, this mark is what decides how Claude Code treats them when the session ends.
