What
A plugin can send Claude a prompt between turns. This release changes how those prompts, and first prompts in general, are shown:
- A plugin's prompt is wrapped as
The <name> plugin sent a message:with a note telling Claude "This is how Claude Code surfaces a prompt a plugin submits between turns". - The transcript now removes that wrapper and shows a dim
Prompt from the <name> pluginheader above the plain text. Before, the text was shown unchanged. - User messages now carry
pluginPrompt, and the first prompt of a session is taken from it, so a prompt a plugin started can be shown instead of its raw expanded text. - Session list entries gain
firstPromptShown, kept when sessions are loaded. Session titles prefer it overfirstPrompt. - The name of an exported conversation file can now follow the shown first prompt: the export dialog asks for the "shown" version, while the default remains "stored".
Why
Prompts a plugin sends are readable in the transcript instead of showing their wrapper text. Session picker titles and export filenames may now match what you saw on screen rather than the full text stored behind it.
