Unclear How a session is admitted to use remote tools is not stated.
What
Claude Code has a handler for announcements of remote tools (tools provided from outside the local machine). It is now loaded only when it is first needed. When a session has not been admitted to use remote tools, the handler fails with a remote_tools_disabled error.
Resuming a session through the SDK (the toolkit for running Claude Code from another program) now also sends again any output rows the client was still owed.
Why
This is groundwork for remote tools.
