What
Claude Code now treats these error messages as a sign that the model you asked for is unavailable:
- a message that an Anthropic model is not available for this account
- "marketplace subscription for this model cannot be completed"
- "is not servable in region"
- "model does not serve requests restricted by vpcsc"
Why
If you reach Claude through a cloud provider, these failures can now be recognised as an unavailable model rather than an unknown error.
