What

mcp_authenticate signs in to an MCP server, an outside service that gives Claude extra tools. It now checks your organization's managed policy again right before it starts the sign-in, and again when it falls back to a custom redirect address. Before, it checked policy only once, at the start.

It also now stops if the Claude account you are signed in with changes while the sign-in is starting. The error says the Claude account changed while sign-in to the MCP server was starting, and asks you to try again.

Why

Sign-in can no longer go through if a policy block or an account switch happens in the moment between the first check and the sign-in itself.
