What
Claude Code keeps temporary stored data, called caches, so it does not have to redo work. The routine that resets these caches now has a mode. A full clear is the default and works as before. Any other mode skips one expensive reset step. Before, every reset ran that step.
Why
Resets that are not a full clear now do less work.
