What

Vim mode lets you edit your prompt with vim-style keys. Two kinds of editing changed:

  • dw (delete word) and cw (change word) now handle empty lines and line endings at the end of text differently.
  • Pasting over a visual-mode selection now remembers whether the copied text was whole lines, and replaces the selection to match. It also takes into account whether the selection reaches the end of a line and whether it sits on a single line.
Why

If you edit in vim mode, these keys should now behave more like you expect at the edges of lines and when pasting whole lines.
