Unclear Exactly how pasting behaves differently from before is not stated.
What
Vim mode lets you edit your prompt with keys borrowed from the Vim text editor. The paste commands in this mode (p and P) have been rewritten. When you paste whole lines, where the cursor ends up and what gets saved to the register (Vim's name for a slot that holds copied text) are now handled differently.
Why
If you use p or P to paste whole lines in vim mode, the cursor may land somewhere else afterwards, and the copied text held in registers may differ from before.
