What
When you start Claude Code with --tmux and --worktree , it can take a quicker startup route. That route now has one more condition before it is used, and the check for --tmux and --desktop now looks at a different list of command-line arguments than before.
Why
This may change how Claude Code handles your options when you combine --tmux and --worktree .

Names in this entry
cli --tmux Create a tmux session for the worktree. Requires --worktree. Uses iTerm2 native panes when available; pass --tmux=classic for traditional tmux
cli --worktree Start Claude in an isolated git worktree at <repo>/.claude/worktrees/<name>. If you don't give a name, Claude Code generates one. Pass #<number>, a GitHub pull request URL, or a GitLab merge request URL to fetch that PR or MR from origin and branch the worktree from it . Branching from a GitLab merge request requires Claude Code v2.1.233 or later
cli --desktop Open the Claude Desktop app on the current directory and exit without starting a session in the terminal. Add --continue, or --resume with a session ID, to open that session in Desktop instead. --resume here takes only a session ID, not a name or transcript path. Takes no prompt and no other flags except --verbose and the --debug flags, since the app starts the session itself. Available on macOS and x64 Windows when you're signed in with a Claude subscription. Requires Claude Code v2.1.285 or later
