What
Skills are instruction files that Claude Code loads from your skills folder, and it watches that folder so it can reload them when they change. The watcher now also skips anything inside a .trash folder at the top level of the skills folder, so changes there do not trigger a reload. Before, it skipped only .git folders and files that were not .md files.
Why
If you delete skills by moving them into a trash folder, Claude Code no longer reloads your skills for no reason.
