What

Session start hooks are commands you set to run when a session begins. When a session is resumed, Claude Code can now hold these hooks until a separate wait has finished. The time it records for starting the hooks then begins after that wait rather than from the start.

Why

This can change the order in which session start hooks run when you resume a session.
