What
After you hit a usage limit, Claude Code can resume automatically once the limit resets. Auto-resume has limits on how many times it carries on. When it is cancelled because it reached its continuation limit, Claude Code now reports this as "cap exhausted", the same as when it reaches its re-arm limit. Before, this case was reported as "disabled".
Why
Reaching the continuation limit is now recorded as running out of tries rather than as auto-resume being turned off.
