What
When you attach an image, Claude Code can fetch a copy sized for the model. There is now a second reason to do this: the image file is larger than a set size, and a remote setting allows it. That setting is off unless it is switched on remotely, and the server returned it off for this site's account.
Claude Code also now chooses which copy to use by comparing the image dimensions and file size. Before, it used the copy it had fetched.
Why
This can change which version of an attached image the model sees.

Feature flag
tengu_lucky_widgetOff in both readings
The flag server returned off for the account this site reads and for the anonymous baseline. A reading of off cannot rule out a rollout these two readings sit outside of.
This account: off · anonymous baseline: off · compiled default in v2.1.314: off
These values were read against a different version of Claude Code, so treat them as the nearest reading available instead of one taken on this release.
