What
When you add images to a message, Claude Code can track each one by an ID. These IDs, imageFileUuids, are now carried in more places:
When a turn is interrupted, the saved interruption state now keeps imageFileUuids and savedFiles.
When a prompt is sent, imageFileUuids is now included.
When a user message is handed off (passed along to continue elsewhere), it now gets imageFileUuids from image_file_uuids, but only when that value is a list of text IDs no longer than the number of images in the message.
Before, none of these fields were carried.
Why
Images you paste should keep their identity after an interruption, a re-send or a handoff, instead of losing the link to the file they came from.
