What
When a background task fails, Claude Code shows a card for it. That card now leaves out its separate error line when both of these hold:
- Exit code: the task ended with an exit code above zero, the number a program returns to signal it failed.
- Output: the task produced some output.
The error line was already hidden when it held only a placeholder.
Why
Failed task cards are less cluttered, because the error is no longer repeated next to output that already shows it.
