What
You can point Claude at a file by typing @ and its path. In sessions where file contents are not attached automatically, Claude Code adds a note telling Claude to read them first. That note used to say only to read them with its file tools. For PDFs of up to a page limit, it can now tell Claude to use the Read tool on each path. It adds that no other tool is needed to view the PDF.
