Unclear It is not clear whether the 5-hour limit reset is offered to every account or only some.

What

Messages about your short-term usage limit now call it the "5-hour limit" instead of the "session limit". This includes the messages for when a reset is not available, when a reset is already under way, and when a reset fails with your current login and asks you to run /login.

New text describes a reset of the 5-hour limit:

  • The option reads "Reset your 5-hour limit now".
  • It notes that it uses your weekly limit and can be used once a week.
  • While it runs, it says the reset usually takes a few seconds.
  • When it succeeds, it reminds you that your weekly limit still applies.

Other wording changed too:

  • When the reset time is unknown, the message now says requests are temporarily limited, instead of saying you are rate limited.
  • When /usage cannot load because of a short-term limit on its own requests, the message now says this is not your usage limit.
  • The notice shown when automatic continue stops after repeated usage limit hits is reworded slightly.
Why

The wording makes clear which limit you have reached. The new text describes a reset that spends part of your weekly allowance and is allowed once a week, so using it trades weekly quota for getting back to work sooner.
