Unclear Which restarts this counts, and where the limit is set, is not stated.

What

Claude Code has a check that counts recent restarts. It now behaves like this:

  • When the count reaches a configured limit, it reports that the limit has been hit.
  • When the setting is "off", it never reports the limit as hit.
  • When the restart record is damaged or cannot be read, it reports the limit as hit.
Why

This looks like a breaker that stops something from restarting over and over in a loop.
