When an attachment upload fails in Remote Control or a cloud session, Claude Code can send it again. The limits on that resend are no longer fixed:
- Size cap: the smaller of a remotely set value, which is 30 MiB when the server sends nothing, and the largest size the server is known to accept.
- Deadline: now depends on the file's size and on how many sends are allowed, which is 2 when the server sends nothing.
Before, both the size cap and the deadline were fixed.
These settings control how hard Claude Code keeps trying to deliver an attachment after a failed upload. Larger files now get a deadline that matches their size.
